As reported at CSPDailyNews.com in 2010, 22 percent of students said they purchased food at campus convenience stores. In the recent study, that number was up to 76 percent.

One reason may be that on-campus stores engage their student customers regularly with social media. More than twice as many food service professionals use social media now, compared with 2010.
