Retailers, look for new design for EBT cards

The old Florida ACCESS EBT cards will start to expire April 30, according to the Department of Children and Families. That means retailers should be aware of updates that will affect their customers.

– At the start of their expiration month, customer will be mailed a new card.

– They can use the card as soon as they get it.

– Their PIN will remain the same.

If their address has changed, customers must log in to www.myflorida.com/accessflorida and report the change to make sure they get their new card in the mail.

EBT stands for Electronic Benefits Transfer. An EBT card is a convenient way to receive benefits from SNAP (the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), formerly the USDA Food Stamp Program.
