Median sale prices of convenience stores were $35,000 lower in 2014, BizBuySell reported in a CSP Daily News article.

BizBuySell sold 266 convenience store businesses last year, with a median sale price of $140,000, a drop from the median $175,000 price in 2013.

A manager at the company said one reason may be that more smaller-size stores were sold in the past year, skewing the price downward. Sales of small businesses are expected to continue at a brisk pace this year with the upturn in the economy.
